Those Visoreds don't even have the excuse of their Hollow masks being shameful or unfair since this is an all-out fight for survival, and the Soul Reapers have already mended ties with the Visoreds. They did use bankai in recent episodes, but they were sloppy about it, and they did not even use their Hollow masks. The Soul Reapers' arrogant complacency is over, with everyone training and inventing new powers and items to even the odds, but the Visoreds evidently didn't care. That paved the way for Captain Sajin Komamura to step in with contrived powers that won him the fight but ruined his character arc.Ĭaptains Hirako, Muguruma, and Otoribashi all underperformed against the Sternritter in recent Bleach episodes, and that should not have happened. Captain Shinji Hirako even took on Sosuke Aizen himself in the original Bleach anime, but when he fought Sternritter E, Bambietta Basterbine, he just toyed with her and let himself lose. Given all the Visoreds went through and the battles they fought, it's strange that they'd take this so lightly, but for whatever reason, they are. However, the lesson didn't sink in because the Visoreds are still acting cocky and holding back when fighting the elite Sternritter. Most of them have resumed their former position as Soul Reaper Captains and Lieutenants, giving them a front-row seat to the Gotei 13's painful defeat in this new anime's first cour. For the duration of the ability, Ichigo's hair color turns black and rapidly grows to waist-length.
